The; Fenians IihM a masB ttn'Ptinu at the Nnuoonl .,ntvV llHll lust evening. ,huip (iibDons. Esq., Vire Ireedontof tho HrotiiTnoud, presided. The fppuker of the fvcnme was Col. 1 V. WaUh. Colonel Walsh matin a lone and eloquent speech, UurlDir which lie rod ted the wroiias ot Ireland and the cltorn iliut, had been made to redeem that country lrom British nil". Kour teen hundred jPurs. he nid, had passed since Nt. Patrick plucked the orst obamroeh lrom Irish soil, and ou eaeh successive anniversary of that da? the sons and daughters of Ireland, wherever lound, plucked the shamrock anil wore it rs an emblem ol (heir falih and na tionality. The cause for which Ireland had Mifl'ered wai not dead; ihe examples set by those who ba.i died lor th-i independence of their countr, and the words uttered by her patriot", still livid in the memory of tuoe for whom they were nttered. (,'euturies may roll away, but at every chanirc the memories of the msri.vrs ot Ireland will be more deeply cherished. The sons ol the Irish soil had ever been ready to meet death at the cannon's mouth that liberty mlplii prevail, and in every coun try they are spoken of with hieh distinction. In the old land to-day, continued the speaker, the sous of Ireland 8re face to face, iu martini anay, w ith the enemies of tneir country, to do battle- to conquer or die to make their nation a Her- and indeDendo.it people; and let us, their kindred, as llehh of their lle-h and bone ol their bone, nhk the (Jed of our lathers to scud them ftniieth to strike down their oppressors and rain1 their country up. Seme had paid that the present struggle would fail, as others bad tailed, and thercforo it should be abandoned. Thowe who tnus talked were nut true Inends of Ireland, and were unworthy of consideration. The road to freedom was beset with many difficulties, but none should turn bnck because ot tho-,e dilTieuIties; for with stronc atnis and willms hearts the desired end con be reached. He (the speaker) did not de spair, but had ereat faith in the regeneration ot the liberties of tbe country, lie ttlt this faith, because there is ns much unity in the Irish people as was ever shown by any other people who ever appealed to the Cod of Battles. In coBcludinpr, he said: All you have to do Is to be true to yourselves, and all the difficulties will be removed, Be united; no matter that we haJ our dissensions and did'erences aoout our leaders, now that the flai? is unfuiled and the men arc fisbtiiiEr, we must lie united, and rally around thai flaa until tho victory is obtained. The people in Iroland are (loins their duty, and jou ebould determine to assist thetn. Speeches were also made by James Gibbons, Esq., and William McWilliams, Esq. The meeting was quite enthusiastic, particu larly when Companies. A, H, und C, of the 8 h Regiment I. K. A., marched mtothe bull, with drums beating and Antra waving. Meeting op the Martkk Uricklayers. Last eveniuR a lartre number of the master bricklayers assembled at i'hieni.t Hall, in Fil bert, above Seventh street. Conrad B. Andress presided, and Thomas T. Scattergood acted as Secretary. Jlr. A committee from the Association of Master Plasterers visited the meeting, and stated that they (the master planerers) had determined to remain firm in the resolve to resist the eipht hour movement. They also stated that twelve plasterers beloneiner to the Union, and forty live outside ot the Union, hud alreudy gone to work under the old system. After the Committee had withdrawn, Mr. Andress stated that the master bricklayers could not accede to the demands ot the jour neymen without doiru preaf injustice to those who employ the masters, and those who have already entered into contrac ts lor the erection of buildings. One of the delegates to tin- nitetincr said that a large numberoi the journeymen were opposed to the eight-hour movement,' and had evpressed tbe opinion that it would not be carried out. The lollowine was submitted: Resoived, That the muFu r nricklayers refuse to ac:ede to the demand of the journeymen for eight hours as a lull day's work, on Saturday ; and also that they retune to pay any more for work this year thn was puid in i8(i.
