At half-past 7 o'clock last evening, Johnson's grocery store, corner 01 Main aud Linden streets, Gertnantowu, was damaged by tire. - MATTERS OVER THE RIVER. Atlantic City. The bathing at this popular place of resort is now in excellent coil' dition. All the bath-houses are up, and pleuti fully supplied with tbe best of baihlug suits. A "dummy car" has been placed on the road, and runs between Atlantic city and Abeciiin, which is a pleat convenience lor raise wishing to do business between the two places. ThciS tars tor the past two years have been very erewt accommodations. All the hotels are in full operation, and on Saturday the ex press train and two daily mans commenced run nine to Atlantic City. Altogether the seau prmise to be prosperous aud lively. A Fatal Accident. On Saturday a dreadful accident occurred at the depot oi the Camden and Arnboy Railroad, by whica an aged gentleman, named Weaver, wa9 teriibly crushed and mangled, having both his legs broken. He was employed by the Company as car-grcascr and while he was under oue at work, a backing train struck it, the wheli passing over his legs, both of which were broken and crushed. Ho has since died. He was a memierof the Tabernacle BaptUt Church, and was highly esteemed as a good uuu indus trious citizen. Tns Foubth.
