GBAND BEG ATT A OP YE DELA WARE YACHT CLUB. YE ADMIRAL R1SLEY UNDER FULL SAIL. 1 iULL PARTICULARS OP THE SIZE OV YE YACHTS. The Scries Editor, attracted by tho display of prizes offered by Admiral Risley, and tho dis play of bunting at the Camden wharves, started lapt Tuesday on, a sailing excursion down the scble Delaware. The wind, the Admiral said, was blowing sow'west by sow, but we didn't ace the animal, and although it did blow from Domewhero very heavy, yet the heaviest blowing was without doubt done by the Admiral himself Frevioo.9 to the ptart of the yachts a considerable truie was consumed in MEASURING THE CRAFT that offered themselves to sail around the "lit Buoy below the Fort," and as but one of the fudges had a tape-line, Iho measurement was a slow process. The yacht Crazy Folly was full 6 ft. 6J iDches, while the Lively Sally was but ft ft. 6j inches, aud of course this disparity in size called for an allowance of time on the part f the larger boat. After considerable time kad been allowed both of them, tbey were manned and proviuioued for the trip. The cup tain having made a trip as he was get'.ing aooard, things took a turn aboard of the Sa'ty, and the captain was turned over to his friends, who soon pulled him out of the water, and the righted tally. In the meantime THE PRIZES began to arrive from over the river, where they ad been on exhibition for a week, and wuich the Admiral flattered Jumselt would bring out all the fresh-water sports ou both hides of the river. Whether it was the prizes or tbe wind, there were certainly a great number of them brought out of their boats, aud, as tho Irishman aaid, "tended in the water. " The Admiral, IUsley, bad arranged evorythiug bo neat and tecretlytbat when anybody came to the starring point with their boats nothing remained to be learned, or, at least, nothing could be learned from the Admiral or his aids . consequently, everything was conducted in the most open, disorderly, and disinterested manner, JBy some well uuiiaged plan the Admiral had se- cured himself among the fair sx, ice cream and g and wlches.on board of the pilot-boat Henry Cp where he would occasionally, on passing the six feet vacat, encourage their half drowned crews by shouting to them in a merry voice, "00 SOWN, B0T9 1" snd which would so please the boys that all along the route ol the race could be seen THE BOYS GOING DOWN while ye Admiral was both safe and dry, par ticularly as regurds the dry, and he remained so until the pilot schooner and an accompanying steam-tug passed the 1st Buoy, when things began to be more lively. YE TUG AND YE SCHOONER ' HENRY COrE" PASSING THE FIRST BUOY CATCHING IT ON THE FLY. CORRPSCT REPRESENTATION OF YE BUOY. The Commodore's yacht Scud and others of the larger cralt now weighed anchor, but as we could not learn the exact weight of their anchors, we will have to let a mere notice of that fact suffice. We also learned from the Admiral that the Scud had her jib-stay carried away during the race, but wo have not heard' that they have caught the chap who carried it away, or what he wanted with it. Now the Tug, being o pleased with the Admi ral, continued in his company and in company of the Henry Cope throughout the whole route, which latter vessel contained tho fair sex, tho Admiral, and the creature comforts of the day. Several Buoys were passed by our schooner and Tog, as above reported, before we arrived back to tbe city, and lonir before we did return from down the river the race we went to see ha 1 been run and was over, and all we know of it is given in this, our last words and confession. YE YACHT "BCDD, JR.," THE WINNING BOAT, COMING IN UNDER THREE REEFS AND REEFERS. ONLY THE REEFERS VISIBLE. SONG FOR MUSIC. BY A POPULAR SONG-WRITER. 'There Is a Name." TT There is a name I dare not breathe, Although it once was dear, They deem my linen spotless now, And no deception here; And yet, like sunset's rosy flush, My chock is hot with shamo, Tbey ai-k me but I will not breathe My Washerwoman's name. II. Jet night, wben In the mazy dance, My neat foot trod the floor, Ihey little deemed my manly nock A paper collar bore. A "Lockwood" clasped my tender throat, Aud yet who dares to blamor Her bins not paid I caunot breathe My Washerwoman's name t Received Too Late lor Classification.
