Mail Train leaves Mt. Dallas at 1.00 p. in., ar
rives at Huntingdon at 4 20 p.m.; leaves Hunt
ingdon at 8.40 a m.. and arrives at Mt.Dallasat
1152 a in.
Acoom'n Train leaves Saxton at 8.20 a. m.,
and arrives at Huntingdon, at 111 10 a. in.; leaves
Huntingdon at 5.55 p. ui., and arrives at Saxton

The house of Mr. John Hillegas, of
Juniata township, was entirely de
stroyed by fire, on Monday last. The
loss sustained by Mr. Hillegas is heavy.

LARGE POTATO.— We were shown a
weet potato, the other day, at the
store of J. M. Shoemaker, raised in
Colerain township, which, when ta
ken up weighed four pounds and ten
ounces. Who can beat it ?
Robberies and burglaries are quite
•numerous in Somerset county. Some
bold scamps entered several houses in
Beriin and suceeded iti carrying away
money, watches and other valuables.
At Gebhartsburg, the house of John
AVeller, Esq., was entered and a con
siderable sum of money stolen. No
clue to tlu* robbers was discovered.
We will gladly publish all marriage
notices, but to insure their insertion in
this paper, they must be accompanied
by the name of some responsible per
son. A marriage notice from the up
per end of the county has been thrown
into the "waste box," because neither
the name of the person officiating nor
the sender was given. "A word to
the wise, t-c."
