LARGE POTATO.— We were shown a weet potato, the other day, at the store of J. M. Shoemaker, raised in Colerain township, which, when ta ken up weighed four pounds and ten ounces. Who can beat it ? Robberies and burglaries are quite •numerous in Somerset county. Some bold scamps entered several houses in Beriin and suceeded iti carrying away money, watches and other valuables. At Gebhartsburg, the house of John AVeller, Esq., was entered and a con siderable sum of money stolen. No clue to tlu* robbers was discovered. We will gladly publish all marriage notices, but to insure their insertion in this paper, they must be accompanied by the name of some responsible per son.
