The machine in ques tion is Simple, Compact, Durable and Beautitul. Its attachments for Hem ming, Braiding, Cording, Tucking, Quilting. Fel ling, Trimming, Binding, etc., are Novel and Prac tical, and have been invented and adjusted es pecially for this Machine. New designs of the Unique, Useful, and Popular Folding Isps and Cabinet Cases, peculiar to the Machines manufactured by this Company, have been prepared for enclosing the new Machine. THK GREAT DESIDERATUM OF THE Age. A dressing which is at once agreeable, healthy, and effectual for preserving the hair. Faded or gray hair is soon restored to its original color and the gloss and freshness of youth. Thin hair is thickened, falling hair checked, and 'baldness of ten, though not always, cured by its use. Noth ing can restore tbe hair where the follicles are de stroyed, or tbe glands atrophied and decayed. But such as remain can be saved lor usefulness by this application. Instead of fouling the hair with a pasty sediment, it will keep it clean and vigor ous. Its occasional use will prevent tbe bair from turning gray or falling off, and consequently prevent baldness. Free from those deleterious substances which make some preparations danger ous and injurious to the hair, the Vigor can only benefit but not harm it. If wanted merely for a HAIR DRESSING, nothing else can be found so desirable. Contain ing neither oil nor dye, it does not soil white cambric, and yet lasts longer on the hair, giving it a rich glossy lustre and a grateful perfume. Prepared by Dr. J. C. Ayer A Co., PRACTICAL AND ANALYTICAL CHEMIST*, LOWELL, MASS, Price $1 00. aug2l'63y 1 B. F. HARRY, Agent. YER'S CATIIARTIC PI I.LS, For all the purposes of a Laxative Medicine. Perhaps no one Medicine is so universally re quired by everybody as a cathartic, nor was e-mr any before so universally adopted into use, in ev ery country and among all classes, as this mild but efficient purgative Pill. The obvious reason is, that it is a more reliable and far more effectual remedy than any other. Those who have tried it, know that it cured them ; thoso who have not, know that it cures their neighbors and friends, and all know that what it does once it does always —that it never fails through any fault or neglect of its composition We have thousands upon tnou sands of certificates of their remarkable cures of the following complaints, but such cures are known in every neighborhood, and we need not publish them- Adupted to all ages and conditions in all climates; containing neither calomel or any dele terious drug, they may be taken with safety by anybody. Their sugar coating preserves them ev er fresh and makes them pleasant to take, while being purely vegetable no harm can arise from their use in any quantity. They operate by their powerful intlucnce on the internal viscera to purify the blood and stimulate it into healthy action—remove tho obstructions of the stomach, bowels, liver, and other organs of the body, restoring tbeir irregular action to health, and by correcting, wherever they exist, such derangements as are the first origin of diseaso. Minute directions are given in the wrapper on the box, for the following complaints, which these Pills rapidly cure:— For DYSFEPSIA or INDIGESTION, LISTLESSNESS, LANGUOR and Loss of Appetite, they should be taken moderately to stimulate the stomach and restore its healthy tone and action. For LIVER COMPLAINT and its various symptoms, BILLIOUS HEADACHE, SICK HEADACHE. JAUNDICE or Green SICKNESS. Bilious Colic and Bilious Fe vers, they should be judiciously taken for each case, to correct the diseased action or remove the obstructions which cause it. For DVSKNTKRV or DIAURHUSA, but one mild .dose is generally required. For RHEUMATISM, GOUT, GRAVEL, PALPITATION OF THE HEART. PAIN IN THE SIDE, BACK and LOINS, they should be continuously taken, as re quired. to change the diseased action of the sys tem. With such change those complaints disap pear. For DHOPSV and DROPSICAL SWELLINGS they should be taken in large and frequent doses to produce the effect of a drastic purge. For SUPPRESSION a large dose should be taken as it produces tho desired effect by sympathy. As a DINNER PILL, take one or two pills to pro mote digestion and relieve tbe stomach. An occasional dose stimulates the stomach and bowels into healthy action, restores the appetite, and invigorates the system. Hence it is often ad vantageous where no serious derangement exists. One who feels tolerably well, often finds that a dose of these PILLS makes him feel decidedly better, from their cleansing and renovating effect on tbe digestive apparatus. DR. J. V. Many people of the present day, who are attract ed, if not confused, with the flaming adeertise mentsof rival piano houses, probably overlook the modest manufacturer like Mr. Waters; but we happen to khow that bis instruments earned him a good reputation long before Expositions and "hon ors" connected therewith were ever thought of; indeed, we have one of Mr. Waters' Pianofortes now in our residence (where it has stood for many years,) of which any manufacturer in tho world might well bo proud. We have always been do lighted with it as a sweet-toned and powerful in strument, and there is no doubt of its durability ; more than this, some of the best amateur players in the city, as well as several celebrated pianists, have performed on the same piano, and all pro uounce it a superior and first-class instrument. E R ' S S A RS A P A R L;L LA, FOR PURIFYING TUB OOD. The reputation this excellent medicine enjoys, is derived from its cures, many of which are truly marvellous. Inveterate cases of Scrofulous dis ease, where the system seemed saturated with corruption, havo been purified and cured by it. Scrofulous affections and disorders, which were aggravated by the scrofulous contamination until they wero painfully afflicting, have been radical ly cured in such great number* in almost every section of the country, that the public scarcely need to be informed of its virtues or uses. Scrofulous poison is one of the most destructive enemies of our race. Often, this unseen and un felt tenant of the organism undermines the con stitution, and invites the attack of enfeebling or fatal diseases, without exciting a suspicion of its presence. Again, it seems to breed infection throughout the body, and then, on some favora ble occasion, rapidly develops into one or other of its hideous forms, either on the surtaoe or among the vitals. In the latter, tubercles may be sud denly deposited in the lungs or heart, or tumors formed in the liver, or it shows its presence by e ruptions on the skin, or foul ulcerations on some part of the body. CHERRY PECTORAL, For Diseases of the Throat and Lungs, such as Coughs, Colds, Whooping Cough, Bronchitis, Asthma, and Consumption. Prohabiy never bofore in the whole history of medicine, has anything won so widely and so deep ly upon the confidence of mankind, as this excel lent remedy for pulmonary complaints Through a long series of years, and among most of the races of men it has risen higher and higher in their es timation. as it has become better known. Its uni form character and power to cure the various af fections of the lungs and throat, have made it known as a reliable protector against them While adapted to milder forms, of disease and to young children, it is at the same time the most effectual remedy that can be given for incipient consumption, and the dangerous affections of the throat and lungs. As a provision against sudden attacks of Croup, it should be kept on hand in ev ery family, and indeed as ail are sometime sub ject to colds and coughs, ail should be provided with this antidote for them. Although settled Consumption is thought in curable, still great numbers of cases where the disease seemed settled, have been completely cured, and the patient restored to siund health by the Cherry Pectoral. So complete is its mastery over the disorders of the Lungs and Throat, that the most obstinate of them yield to it. When nothing else could reach them, under the Cherry Pectoral they sulsidc and disappear. Singers and public Speakers find great protec tion from it. Asthma is always relieved and often wholly cur ed by it. Bronchitis is generally cured by taking the Cherry Pectoral in small and frequent doses So generally are its virtues known that we need not publish the certificates of thein hers, or do more than assure the public that its qualities are fully maintained.
