A cold settles some where in the body, and obstructs its natural functions. Ayer's Sarsaparilla IS a concentrated extract of l'ara Sarsapa rilla, so combined with other substances ot still greater alterative power as to afford an ef fective antidote for diseases Sarsapatilla is repu ted to cure. Such a#emedy is surely wanted by those who stiff sr from Strumous complaints, and that one which will accomplish their cure must prove of immense service to this large class of our afflicted fellow-citizens, llow completely this compound will do it has been proven by experiment on many of the worst cases to he found in the following complaints : SOITJKCI.A AND SJROFTF.TVJS COMPLAINTS, E- Rl'P DON'S AND EttL'PTIVK DISEASES, UI.CEKS, PIMPLES, BLOTCHES, TUMORS, SALT RHEUM, SJAI.D HEAD, SYPHILIS AND Svpnu.iTiO AFFEO TIONS, MERCURIAL DISEASE, DaorsY, NEURAL GIA OR Tic Dor.oiiEcx,. DEBILITY, DYSPEPSIA AND IVDIOESTION", ERYSIPELAS, ROSEOIS ST. AX TIIOSY'S FIRE, and indeed the whole class ol complaints arising from IMPURITY OF THE BLOOD. This compound will be found a great promo tor of health, when taken in the spring, to ex pel the foul humors which fester iu the blood atthat season of the year. By the' timely ex pulsion of them many rankling disorders are nipped in tne bitJ. Multitu les can, by the aid of this remedy, spare themselves from the en durance of foul eruptions and ulcerous sores, through which the system will strive to ri I it self of corruptions, if not assisted to do this through the natural channels of the body by an alterative medicine. Cleanse out the vitiated blood whenever you find its impurities bursting through the skin in pimples, eruptions, or sores; cleanse it when you find it is obstructed and sluggish in the veins; cleans".it whenever it is foul, and your feelings will tell you when. Even where no particular disorder is felt, people en joy better health, and live logger, cleansing the blood. Keep the blood healthy, and all is well: but with the pabulum of life disordered, there can be no lasting health. Sooner or later some thing must go wrong, and the groat machin ery of life is disordered or overthrown. During late years the public have been ml ri le! by large bottles, pretending to give a rpiart •of Extract of Sarsaparilla for one dollar. Most of these have been frauds upon the sick, for they not only contain little, if any, Sarsaparilla, but often no curative properties whatever Hence, bitter and painful disappointment lias followed the use of the various extracts of Sar saparilla which flood the market, until k the name itself is justly despised, and has become synonymous with imposition and cheat. Still wc call this compound Sarsaparilla, and intend to supply such a remedy as shall rescue the name from the load of obloquy jvliich rests up on it. And we think we have ground for bc liiving it has virtues which arc irresistible by the ordinary run of the diseases it is intended to cure. \ Prepared by DM. ,T. C. 4YEI? & CO., Low '"11, Mass. Bedford, July 25, 18e , TAT£ ' Hrolb'y. j DIED— JORDAN. —On Thursday, the 7th inst., in the 35th year of Mrs. MARIA LOIISA, wife of Hon. FRANCIS JORDAN, of this place. The deceased was a member of the Presby terian church. She was an affectionate wife, a kind mother, a faithful friend, an humble chris tian. Her health had been feeble for many years, and, for a considerable time, she had not enjoyed the privileges of the Riinctuary. She, perhaps, yielded too often to a morbid state of mind, the result of physical disorder, and con fined herself to her home when intercourse with her friends, and especially the services of t he- Lord's House might have proved beneficial to her bodily and spiritual health. During her last illness, which was of short continuance, she was patient and submissive to the will of God. At times despondent, she u suallv enjoyed a sense of her Sen ior's presence, and rejoiced in the hope of eternal life. When the time of her departure was near at hand, she said it was sweet to die. Though she regretted to leave dear friends la-hind her, she believed it would be better to depart and be with Christ. With the name of JESIS on her lips, the last faint utte-ance heard by those who watched he side her bed, she exchanged the sick chamber for the everlasting habitation. It was a pleas ing coincidence, as remarked at the funeral of our deceased friend,, that when a christian stran ger near by, and within her heaving, was sing ing. "I would not live alway," to the tune, "There is rest for the weary," she was passing through the valley of death to her eternal home, where the weary are at rest: Where the saints of all ages in harmony meet, Their Savior and brethren transported to greet: While the anthems of pleasure unceasingly roll, And the smile of the Lord is the feast of the sottl.
