These Watches have now been in the market for nearly ten years, during which time they have been tested as to ACCURACY, DURABILITY AND RELIABIL ITY, in every conceivable manner, and have proved themselves to be the most satisfactory time pieces ever offered to the public. J his result has been brought about by a attic*, ap plication ol mechanical science to tne construction of the watch from its very inception, rendeiing it, when fiuished MATHEMATICALLY CORRECT, in all proportions, and necessarily as perfect a time keeper as it is possible to make. lhe Company have tested their Watches, in many instances, by actual daily noting, and the re sult of this test has been that tbey have exhibi'ed a rate aqual in regularity to the best marine chro nometer N. B.— We have just intioduced a JYEW STYLE OF WATCII elaborately finished, and thinner than an}- we have heretofore produced, with several improvements | calculated to secure the greatest accuracy of peifor mance, and to prevent the usual accidents and de rangements to which foreign watcbts are liable. Watch Co. : Dear Sir:—The American Watch, No. 92-10. presented me by the New York Chess Club, proved to be a most reliable and accurate time-keeper—al most unnecessarily so for ordinary purposes. It is now nearly five months since it came into my pos session, and during that period its variation from standard time has been but a trifle inore than half a minute. The following is a record of its perfor mance. it was set June_3d correctly : June 15, fast-l seconds. Aug. 15, fast 18 seconds. Some very sic nal instances ot this kind are attested of lemae" sufferers, emaciated victims of apparent marasmul, sanguineous exhaustion, critical changes, and thai complication of nervous and dyspeptic aversion so a:r and exercise for which the physician has n' | name. Jn Nervous Affections of all kinds, and fcr reason familiar to medical men, the operation ofthis prepa ration of lion must necessarily be salutary, for, un like the old oxides, it is vigorously tonic, withou bemg exciting and over-heatiug : and gently regut larly aperieni, even in the most obstinate cases ol co-tivene**, without ever being a gastric purgative, or inflicting a di-agreeable sensation. It is this latter proper.y, among others, whico makes it so remarkably eflectuai and permanent a remedy for Piles, upon which it also appears to ex eit a distinct and specific action, by dispersing the local tndenry which forms them. 11l Dyspepsia, innumerable as are its causes, a single box ol these Chalybeate Pill, has often suffi eeu tor the most habitual cases. In unchecked Diarrhcra, even when advanced t Dystentery, confirmed, emaciating and apparently malignant, the effects have beer, equall decisive and astonishing. In the local pains, loss r,f flesh and strength, de bilitating cough, and remittent hectic, which gene ra..y indicate Incipient Consumption, this remedy i.as al.ayed the alarm of tr'ends and physicians, in several very gratifying and interesting instances. In Tuberculosis, this medicated iron has had far more the good effect of the most cau tiously balanced preparations of iodine, without any of their weil-known liabilities. The attention of females cannot be too confident ly invited to ibis remedy and restorative, in the ca ses peculiarly affecting them. In Rheumatism, both chronic and inflammatory, in the latter, however, more decidedjy, it has been invariably well reported, both as alleviating pain and reducing the swellings and stiffness of the ioints and muscles. , In Intermittent Fevers it must necessarily be ■ groat remedy and energetic restorative,'and its pro gress in the new settlements of the West, will pro bably be one of high renown and usefulness.
