Practical farmers and business men from tbe length ami breadth ot the Union are settling there. It is an important business place, on account of its being in the midst of a great market. I.very article raised upon this land finds an immedi ate sale. The water is excellent, and no such thing as fever is known. The soil is a sandy loarn, with a day bottom and retentive of manures. It is free of stone- and easily worked. It abounds largely j n the phosphates, arid such is its fertility that from the crop- produced both upon this land and Ihe large a rea adjoining under cultivation, it will be found not to be excelled anywhere in the production of crops most adapted to its market. The reader may be well aware that the earliest and best fruits and vegeta bles come from New Jersey, which are annually ex ported to the amount of millions of dollars. Tb laud, besides being accessible in every Way for fer tilisers, has an abundant supply of the best quality ot muck manure. Lumber and building materials can be had on the spot at a cheap price, from the mills. Other mills are now being opened, and brick yards being started on the ground. A person can put up a frame tenement for present convenience for hundred dollars. On account of the extensive emi gration, this is the best course to pursue i oTder to get a place to live in at first. Caipenters and build ers are on hand to put up hoi>-e on the best terms. :n settling here the emigrant has many advanta ges. There are three trains daily to Philadelphia, and to all those who improve the railroad company gives a free ticket.
