A Jersey junior three-year-old, exhibited by 4-H member Amanda Thomp son, Wellsville, took supreme champion honors at York Fair’s dairy show. Julie-K Declo Delight was the winner of the M. Ebert Rutter re volving trophy awarded annually to the best of the field of dairy breed champions. The fair’s su preme title added to a growing list of awards won by Delight, in cluding breed champion of both the 2002 and 2003 county 4-H dairy roundups and last year’s York Fair Jersey breed reserve championship. Delight is scored VG, with a three year projected milk record of 19,000. As a heif er, she finished her first lactation with 16,304 milk, 703 fat, and 534 protein. Competing for the honor were York Fair dairy breed champi ons, including the Ayrshire win ner, exhibited by Susan Richard son, Fawn Grove, Guernsey champion, Rutter Bros.
