Northeast Dairy Students To Take The Challenge COBLESKILL, N.Y. On Oct. 24 and 25, up to 80 of the Northeast’s top dairy students will partici pate in the first Northeast Intercollegiate Dairy Challenge, hosted by the State University of New York. Students invited to the event will be from such states as New York, Vermont, Connecticut, Massa chusetts, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and New Hamp shire. Day one of the challenge will begin with each team receiving actual production, financial, nutri tion, reproduction and management information about an assigned dairy operation. Each team will have the opportunity to tour the farm operation, complete a thorough analysis of the operation and meet with the farm’s management team. Following the visit, team members will formulate their analy sis and recommendations. On day two, students will present their evaluation and recommendations to a panel of industry judges. This event also will serve as an opportunity for dairy producers and industry representatives to meet prospective young employees.
