Glen Farm took supreme cham pion honors with their 4-year-old, Mt Glen Elegant Anabell at the Troy Fair Open Dairy show re cently. Judge Garrett Sammons, of Johnstown, N.Y. tapped the Holstein as supreme after judging over 300 animals from seven breeds in a two-day show. Named the reserve grand champion was Calkins Pete Be rachah, a 4-year-old owned by Randy Calkins. The junior cham pion of the Holstein show was David Packard’s fall yearling. Pack Herd Encore Battier. The reserve junior champion was Del- Hollow Pro Cindy ETS, a fall yearling shown by Gen-Rich Farm. Snowcrest Farm, operated by the Walirath family, was named the premier breeder and premier exhibitor of the 2003 Troy Fair Open Holstein show. In the Red and White show, T- Creek Rubensw Roxy Red, a sen ior 2-year-old owned by Gen- Rich Farm and Jim Jenkins, was named the grand champion. The reserve grand champion was Frith-jof Tiger Tig P-Red, also a senior 2-year-old, owned by Kel sey Carlsen. The junior champi on Red and White was Tory Car- Isen’s Frith-jof Tory Raquel - Red, a fall calf. The reserve jun ior champion was Frith-jof Tory Ginny - Red, a fall calf owned by Kelsey Carlsen. More than 600 youth from 38 states ex hibited 1,070 head at the 2003 Junior National Hereford Expo (JNHE) at the Indiana State Fairgrounds, July 13-19.
