One of many IH enthusiasts at
the Roundup was Jonathan Din*
terman. He traveled to Blootns
burg from his home in Bunker
Hill, W.Va., with father Richard
and brother Adam. The Dinter
tnans have a number of early
model red tractors, including a
1939 F-20 that Jonathan drove in
the Roundup’s IH tractor pull.
Dennis Wolff, Pennsylvania
secretary of agriculture and dairy
farmer from Millville, a town
near Bloomsburg, was on hand
for the opening ceremonies. He
was joined by Bill Swope, presi
dent of National IH Collectors
Inc.; Fred Trump, president of
the Bloomsburg Fair Association;
and Trapani.
According to Trapani, Penn
sylvania has about 600 IH collec
tor members out of a total of
about 6,500 in the country. Thir
ty chapters function in 24 states.
Significant numbers of IH collec
tors can also be found in Canada
and Sweden.
The Red Power Roundup
began 14 years ago as a nation
wide gathering of IH enthusiasts.
Last year’s Roundup took place
in Illinois. The 2004 event is
scheduled for June 24-26 in lowa.
Activities offered to Roundup
visitors this year included tours
of Bartlow’s IH Prototype build
