One of many IH enthusiasts at the Roundup was Jonathan Din* terman. He traveled to Blootns burg from his home in Bunker Hill, W.Va., with father Richard and brother Adam. The Dinter tnans have a number of early model red tractors, including a 1939 F-20 that Jonathan drove in the Roundup’s IH tractor pull. Dennis Wolff, Pennsylvania secretary of agriculture and dairy farmer from Millville, a town near Bloomsburg, was on hand for the opening ceremonies. He was joined by Bill Swope, presi dent of National IH Collectors Inc.; Fred Trump, president of the Bloomsburg Fair Association; and Trapani. According to Trapani, Penn sylvania has about 600 IH collec tor members out of a total of about 6,500 in the country. Thir ty chapters function in 24 states. Significant numbers of IH collec tors can also be found in Canada and Sweden. The Red Power Roundup began 14 years ago as a nation wide gathering of IH enthusiasts. Last year’s Roundup took place in Illinois. The 2004 event is scheduled for June 24-26 in lowa. Activities offered to Roundup visitors this year included tours of Bartlow’s IH Prototype build ing in Millville, equipment pa rades, tractor pulls, tractor games, and live musical enter tainment.
