At 4-H Winter Camp

members and two 4-H Seeing Eye
Puppies enjoyed an evening filled
with adventure and excitement at
the 4-H Winter Camp, Feb. 28, at
the Blue Valley Farm Show
Complex in Bangor.
The highlight of the evening
was making sock puppets and
performing skits.
Material, glue, buttons, pipe
cleaners, flowers, and many other
craft materials were buzzing as

Collegiate 4-H Conference

sey, as delegates to the National
Collegiate 4-H Conference, Feb.
20-23, in Fort Worth, Tex

Beef Club for
ten years.
The confer
ence, hosted
by Texas
A&M, Texas
Tech, and
Kansas State University, show
cased many activities, all focusing
on leadership and community
service.
While at the conference stu
dents from universities and colle
giate 4-H clubs across the United
States converged to attend work
shops designed to stimulate char
acter building, increase leader
ship and role model abilities, and
perfect business etiquette skills, to
name a few.
Additionally, delegates assisted
in a restoration effort at the his
toric Fort Worth Stockyards as a
community service project, which
was the highlight of the confer
ence. The conference concluded
with a motivational speech by the
famous poet and writer, Baxter
Black, during the closing ceremo
ny banquet.

Club met at Mitchell’s
house Mar. 30 for their
first meeting.
After the pledges were
