Daily National Grain Market Summary St. Joseph, MO April 2. 2002 Report Supplied By USDA Wheat bids were slightly higher for the day, supported mostly by sharply higher soybean trading. Early fund buying in wheat pits offered some strength to bids. Poor export showings so far this week and continued good weather, limited ad vances. Corn bids were on both sides of steady with higher bean bids and Tues days export purchase pulling upwards. However, favorable weather conditions weighed on bids. Soybean bids moved sharply higher due to Spains overnight export purchase and fund buying on the Board. Higher soybean meal trades also boosted bean bids. Tomorrow, USDAs weekly export inspection figures will be released. Soybean purchases for the year have improved over the past few weeks. Wheat 1 to 6 cents higher. Corn mixed, mostly steady to Lancaster Farming, Saturday, April 5, 2003-A7 1 cent higher. Sorghum 1 cent higher. Soybeans 12 to 13 cents higher.
