The recently completed facility has been named the Sam Hayes Livestock Evaluation Center. Glenn Eberly, in his 17th year as director of the Livestock Eval uation Center, received this year’s Special Appreciation Award. Eberly helped initiate the Pennsylvania Beef Expo and has chaired the Beef Expo committee for all of its 14 years. Along with his wife Dorothy and son David, Eberly maintains a 40-50 purebred Angus cow herd that he has been building over the past 25 years. Eberly’s past beef industry in volvements include acting as president and vice president of the Pennsylvania Cattlemen’s Association and serving more than 20 years as a director. He has served on a number of other boards as well, including the Sam Hayes, former Pennsylvania sec retary of agriculture, takes a short mo ment to relax on a rocking chair pres ented to him by the PCA In appreciation for his contributions to the state’s beef industry.
