Stain Removal Tips Lipstick stains: Remove the stain by scraping it with a dull knife. Shake off any residue. Pre treat it with liquid laundry deter gent, then wash in warm water. Line or air-dry. If stain remains, repeat the procedure. Use chlo rine bleach in the wash, if safe for the fabric. Coffee, tea, wine, or alcoholic beverages: Sponge or soak the stain in cool water. Pretreat with a prewash stain remover, liquid laundry detergent, or a paste of granular laundry detergent and water. Then launder using chlo rine bleach, if safe for the fabric, or oxygen bleach. Chocolate: Should be pretreat ed with a prewash stain remover, liquid laundry detergent or a paste of granular laundry deter gent and water. Launder the item in warm water. If the stain re mains, rewash using a bleach that’s safe for the fabric. Red crayons: Use a dull knife to scrape off the surface wax. Place the stain between paper towels and press with a warm iron. Replace paper towels fre quently until no more wax is ab sorbed. Place stain face down on clean paper towels. Sponge the remaining stain with a prewash stain remover or cleaning fluid.
