Family Dairy Day
Tuesday, February 18th, 2003
Lancaster Farm and Home Center
9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Your entire family is invited to the NEW 2003 Lancaster
County Dairy Day. This year's family dairy day will focus on farm
strategies for surviving and prospering during times of low milk
prices on the farm. We will have dynamic speakers on the pro
gram, exhibitor displays and demonstrations, door prizes, and a
farmer luncheon.
There will be several producer sessions on various topics in the
morning for you to choose from, with the afternoon program
featuring Dr. Lou Moore of Penn State speaking on "Strategies
for Success on Lancaster Farms." Also in the afternoon there will
be an industry forum on "Emerging Technologies for the Dairy
Herd," showcasing exciting new dairy products.
New this year, the Penn State Family Living program will offer
pressure canner gauge testing at no charge to attendees, and
an optional afternoon program for spouses on "What's New
in Home Canning" and "Who Gets Grandma's Yellow Pie
Plate? Considerations for the Transfer of Personal
Property", by the Lancaster County Cooperative Extension
Family Living staff
