4-H’ers See Good Prices At Chester County Livestock Roundup ANDY ANDREWS Editor HONEY BROOK (Chester Co.) One came from Sesame Street, the other, well, it dragged a 4-H’er a little bit down the street. We’re talking real-life names here beef champions. The champion; Elmo, exhibi ted by Caitlin Fairbaim. That’s in honor of the children’s TV muppet Elmo, who followed his song, the “a-b-c’s” with, of course, 1-2-3. And the champion was the 23rd calf born in 2001 for the Fairbaims. The reserve: “Boogie.” “When we first bought it, he dragged me 20 feet,” said Austin Howe, who exhibited the purebred Hereford that didn’t injure him, but there was some dirt to dust off. Both picked up great prices at the annual Chester County 4-H Roundup Sale Wednesday eve ning at the Romano 4-H Center near Honey Brook. Caitlin’s champion was purchased for $2.75 per pound by Acker Con struction, Chester Springs, repre sented by Sam Acker.
