ANSWER
Gladys
Massinger,
McClure,
wanted to
know how
to keep
birds out of
the barn.
She has tried balloons with
faces and mothballs to
deter them, but neither
works. Dr. Nancy Winning,
Holtwood, writes the only
thing that consistently
works to keep birds out of
a barn is a cat. But if you
have a dog that chases a
cat, you are out of luck.
Feed the cats in the barn
and the cats will keep out
the birds. She has tried this
at her place and knows of it
working at other properties
as well.
