Market At A Glance
Atlanta, Ga.
June 26,2002
Report Supplied By USDA
Trade sentiment was barely steady to
weak in the East, mostly steady else
where. Retail demand was slow to fair, at
times moderate for food service, with best
movement for ads, catering, and fast food.
However, interest in the West increased
due to July Fourth needs and first of the
month activities. Supplies were balanced
to ample and discounted to help clear ad
ditional product. In the parts structure,
trading was light. Breast items were
mixed, but better balanced for cuts fea
tured in retail ads. The remaining items
were at least adequate and also discount
ed, but had limited success. In production
areas, live supplies were moderate.
Weights were desirable to heavy, mostly
desirable.
