Retail demand was slow to fair, at times moderate for food service, with best movement for ads, catering, and fast food. However, interest in the West increased due to July Fourth needs and first of the month activities. Supplies were balanced to ample and discounted to help clear ad ditional product. In the parts structure, trading was light. Breast items were mixed, but better balanced for cuts fea tured in retail ads. The remaining items were at least adequate and also discount ed, but had limited success. In production areas, live supplies were moderate. Weights were desirable to heavy, mostly desirable.
