Al4-Lancaster Farming, Saturday, April 27, 2002 Weekly Meat Production Under Federal Inspection WASHINGTON, D.C., Apr. 19 - (USDA-NASS) - Total red meat production under federal inspection for the week ending Sat., Apr. 20, was estimated at 896.5 million lbs., according to the USDA's Agricultural Marketing Service. This was 2.6% higher than a week ago and 10.1% higher than a year ago. Cumulative meat production for the year to date was 2.0% higher compared to the previous year.
