HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co.) Continuing the 2001 Draft Horse Hitch Show on Oct. 3, the team classes, unicorn hitch, and 4-horse hitch classes took place in the Large Arena during Keystone International Livestock Exposition (KILE). In the gelding, grade mares, stallion team classes Ray Hous ton, Columbus, Mich., received the first place ribbon in the Bel gian breed. For the Clydesdale class, Daryl Cobbs, Huntington, Ind., placed first. Fantasy Car riage Co., Bridgeport, Mich., drove the winning team for the Percheron Breed. In the Shire competition, the winning team was from Ontario, Canada, and is owned by Stephen and Sherrie Lewis. Julie Westbrook, Ames Perch eron Farm, Jordan, Minn., took the ladies team class. The second place winner was Nancy Beulor from Elmore, Ohio. Bridgeport, Mich., with the team driven by Tara Bahler. In the unicorn hitch contest, the winner of the registered mares unicorn was Michael Stone from Fremont, Ohio. Pierre Gag non from Quebec, Canada, drove the winning Belgian unicorn. Daryl Cobbs took home the first place ribbon in the Clydesdale/ Shire class. Rounding out the unicorn hitch contest was the winner of the Percheron breed, Fantasy Carriage Co. Wednesday night’s competi tion concluded with the 4-horse hitch contest. The registered mares class winner was John and Chad Cole, Centre Hall. Taking the victory lap for the Belgian breed was Pierre Gagnon of Que bec, Canada. For the Clydesdale/Shire 4-Horse hitch, William Burgett for Frederick town, Ohio, received the first place ribbon. Fantasy Carriage Company was selected as the Percheron class winner.
