According to Inter Net in formation, the business began when Brett Herbst, a Salmon, Idaho native and Brigham Young University agribusi ness graduate, launched his first corn maze in 1996. Herbst had previously read about a similar maze in a farming magazine. Brett’s original labyrinth in American Fork, Utah was the largest corn maze created in the western United States and was the beginning of his business, “The MAiZE.” The MAiZE has become the world’s largest corn maze company. Herbst had origi nally seen the business as a sideline hobby; however, maze popularity and demand iis now a full-time occupation for the Herbst family.
