Not only does it mark the company’s 25th anniversary, but this year, at the annual cus tomer appreciation open house celebration at the end of March, more than 500 attended. The celebration, a tradition for the New Holland equipment and parts dealer, brought in cus tomers who purchased nine pieces of equipment. “We sold more than $20,000 of parts on the day of the open house,” said Cory Forrester, president. Jay Forrester, who founded the business in October 1976, passed away in an auto accident in August. Since then, his wife Barbara and their children de cided to reorganize and expand the family business. The dealership now offers the same customer support for the full line of Hesston self propelled windrowers, mower conditioners, rectangular and round balers, rakes, and forage harvesters. This new Hesston product line has the features and acces sories that meet the needs of cus tomers, according to Hoober. This time is the busiest of the season, noted Cory. He said that, with the sales of compact tractors and lawn equipment at the beginning of spring, they’ve been too busy to realize the 25th anniversary is here. “We’d like to expand,” For rester said. “There’s room for expansion here.” He said future expansion could include open ing a satellite store. customer satisfaction. According to Dick Bom berger, parts manager of Hoober, Inc. in Intercourse, “For equipment-down emergen cies, parts can be sourced from any of 12 strategically-located North American parts warehouses,’’ he said. “Most of these parts orders are shipped the same day they are placed.” Don Carper, service manager, Intercourse, and the dealer ship’s service technicians are ex perienced at performing professional maintenance and repair work on agricultural equipment.
