QUESTION A reader wants to know of a supplier for skillets made with cast aluminum or other metal (not cast iron) that has dividers to heat at least three different items on the stove at the same time. Lehmans’ of Ohio has only cast iron skillets. ANSWER - Holly Eshback, Dover, writes that in addition to scattering mothballs in flow er beds to keep cats out, another solution is to scatter pieces of small cactus plants on top of mulch. A Waynesboro reader wrote that she had success with this simple but effective method: sprinkle used coffee grounds on top of mulch or wherever cats dig. They don’t like the smell and will go elsewhere. ANSWER A reader suggests that many hard-to-find items can be purchased through the internet auction site ebay (www.ebay.com). He does not have any connections with the site but has found many items through it. CORRECTION The previously printed di rections for making baling twine wreath should have read “Bend a wire coat hanger into a round shape and sew the braid around it.”
