He, tunnel” display, featuring agri cultural research for commercial vegetable and small fruit growers, sponsored by the state agriculture department. The dairy, poultry. and livestock competi- tions will offer record premiums this year more than $300,000. Many popular events also will return, in cluding the Sheep-to- Shawl Contest, the Family Living and Ag ricultural Learning Center, the Pennsylva nia High School Rodeo Championship, the crowning of the su preme champion in the livestock and dairy shows, and the sale of champions. “Gov. Ridge and I would like to invite every Pennsylvanian to the 2001 Pennsylva nia Farm Show to see the very best that Pennsylvania agricul ture has to offer.” Secretary Hayes noted that agriculture is the state’s No. 1 in dustry, generating $44.1 billion from the farm to the table. The Pennsylvania Farm Show will open on Saturday, Jan. 6 and is free to the public. The hours will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sat urday through Wednesday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thurs day..
