Senior 3-Year-Old Champion At District Jersey Show
CAROLYN N. MOYER
Bradford Co. Correspondent
TROY (Bradford Co.)
Huronia Remake Kate, a senior
3-year-old owned by Heather
Pease, was the queen of the
Northeast District Jersey show,
capturing grand champion
honors in both the youth and
open divisions.
The 15th annual show was
conducted at the Troy Fair
grounds Tuesday, Aug. 15.
Named reserve grand cham
pion in the open division was
senior 2-year-old Eastmont
Trader Daisy, owned by James
Kahler and Marion Andrew.
In the junior division, East
mont Donna Jon, an aged cow
owned by Trisha Mcllwain, took
reserve grand champion honors.
Lindsey Kahler’s junior calf,
Eastmont Mannix Desire,
garnered the junior champion
title in both the youth and open
divisions.
The reserve junior champion
in the open division was Ty-Ly-
View Jay Dee Jodie, a winter
calf owned by Paul and Carolyn
Moyer.
Following the junior calf in
the youth show was Ellen Nor
man’s spring yearling, Norman
dell Pitino Juliet.
Ty-Ly-View Farm and Craig Sprout took home premier
exhibitor honors at the annual show. Shown, from left, are
Craig, Rachel, Betsy, and Christian Sprout, Paul, Andrew,
Gregory, Carolyn and Charlie Moyer, and judge William
Taylor.
In the open division, Judge William Taylor congratulates
the champions. Shown, from left, are Paul Moyer, Lindsey
Kahler, Corissa Coolbaugh, Heather Pease, Jim Kahler,
and Marlesa Coolbaugh.
Normandell Farms captured the premier performance
award and the premier breeder award at the 15th annual
show. Pictured here are Mark, Aggie, David, Emily, Doro
thy, Renee, Ernest, and Ellen Norman and judge William
Taylor.
Normandell Kenny Daisy, a
cow entered in the lifetime pro
duction class, was named the
premier performance winner of
the show. The award, given in
memory of Tommy G. Noble, is
calculated with a combination of
points from the animal’s latest
official 305-day test and class
placing.
Normandell Farms also cap
tured the premier breeder title at
the show. Ty-Ly-View Farms
was named the premier exhibi
tor of the day.
William Taylor of Marcellus,
N.Y., had the task of sorting
through the 75 entries at the
15th annual show.
