Senior 3-Year-Old Champion At District Jersey Show CAROLYN N. MOYER Bradford Co. Correspondent TROY (Bradford Co.) Huronia Remake Kate, a senior 3-year-old owned by Heather Pease, was the queen of the Northeast District Jersey show, capturing grand champion honors in both the youth and open divisions. The 15th annual show was conducted at the Troy Fair grounds Tuesday, Aug. 15. Named reserve grand cham pion in the open division was senior 2-year-old Eastmont Trader Daisy, owned by James Kahler and Marion Andrew. In the junior division, East mont Donna Jon, an aged cow owned by Trisha Mcllwain, took reserve grand champion honors. Lindsey Kahler’s junior calf, Eastmont Mannix Desire, garnered the junior champion title in both the youth and open divisions. The reserve junior champion in the open division was Ty-Ly- View Jay Dee Jodie, a winter calf owned by Paul and Carolyn Moyer. Following the junior calf in the youth show was Ellen Nor man’s spring yearling, Norman dell Pitino Juliet. Ty-Ly-View Farm and Craig Sprout took home premier exhibitor honors at the annual show. Normandell Kenny Daisy, a cow entered in the lifetime pro duction class, was named the premier performance winner of the show. The award, given in memory of Tommy G. Noble, is calculated with a combination of points from the animal’s latest official 305-day test and class placing. Normandell Farms also cap tured the premier breeder title at the show. Ty-Ly-View Farms was named the premier exhibi tor of the day. William Taylor of Marcellus, N.Y., had the task of sorting through the 75 entries at the 15th annual show.
