Blackstar Elsie Sis took the high
est honors at the Tioga County
open dairy shows, conducted
here Friday and Saturday, Aug.
11-12.
The 4-year-old grand champi
on Holstein trumped the other
breed champions to take home
the supreme champion title. This
is the second time in the four
years the award has been pres
ented that Courtney’s Blackstar
topped the list of entries. She
previously won the distinction in
1998. Esßern Farms also was
named the premier breeder and
premier exhibitor of the show.

judged the two-day show. On
