To Avoid Roundup Ready Crop Injury, Choose Herbicides Carefully ST. LOUIS, Mo. As growers plan postemergence herbicide applications on Roundup Ready® crops, they should be aware of crop injury potential from some herbicides. “Roundup Ready crops were designed to be treated with Roundup® brand herbicides be cause of their superior crop safety and unsurpassed weed control,” said Dr. John Goette, Monsanto technical manager. “We have discovered that Zeneca’s sulfosate can cause substantial injury to Roundup Ready crops. Growers prefer to use herbicides that are crop-safe, so we want to be sure they are aware of the injury potential,” he said.
