Majority prices were unchanged to
lower on whole, and usually unchanged
on balance of other items when com
pared to last week’s values. Offerings
were reported as in close balance to occa
sionally available. Buying interest im
proved but sellers were cautious at
prevailing price levels. The undertone
was mixed. Liquid and frozen eggs
(ingredients included) processed under
federal inspection in the Eastern region
for the week ending May 27,2000 were 4
% less last week, and 2 % less than a year
ago. Shell egg suppliers were usually suf
ficient for needs but not as available as
last week.
