Devotions were given by Group 10. President Betsy Sattazahn re ported on the state board meet ing. The new project will be Helping to feed the Hungry in the New Millenium. This project will be done at the local level during the year 2000, at the county level in 2001, and at the state level in 2002. Local groups may donate food, prepare a meal or donate money to supply food for the needy. Betsy Sattazahn thanked all who participated at Berks Heim for bingo in April, and for the groups who donated center pieces for the Berks Heim Vol unteer Service Board Banquet. Members were reminded to get to serve at the Berks Heim Fest to be held Sept. 9. The theme will be “the good old days.” Group 1 reported it will be celebi ating its 60th anniversary. Lancaster Society 8 sylvania State Democratic caucus presented an informative review of Pennsylvania farms; size, owners, and expansion of residential housing into prime agricultural areas. Plans were finalized for those attending the state spring rally on May 17, and the bus trip to Allenberry Playhouse on June 12.
