Gov. Ridge kicked off “100 Days of Growing Greener” at the January Farm Show by announcing that he expects 100 farms to be preserved over the next 100 days, culminating on Earth Day. On Jan. 13, Lt. Gov. Schweiker was in Berks County to mark the second week of “100 Days of Growing Greener” by announcing $5.1 million in “Growing Greener” grants for watershed protection and abandoned mine reclamation in 45 counties.
