If you have an interest in learn
ing more about alternative markets
for your livestock products in a graz
ing program, value-added markets,
what new developments are there in
forage harvesting equipment or
manure management for grazing
livestock, then you should plan to
attend the conference at the Holiday
Inn.
In addition to these topics, many
more will be presented by a wide
array of speakers. Keynote speaker
will be Dave Forgey, grass-based
seasonal dairyman from Logans
port, Ind.
Dave Forgey will be discussing
his experiences through eight years
of grazing. He will also be present
ing his farm’s financial picture over
those same eight years of grazing.
Forgey has gone from a conven
tional dairying situation to grazing
and most recently to a seasonal herd
with spring calving while utilizing
grazing. He is an excellent speaker
and will be providing the audience
with the complete picture of his
operation. In addition to Forgey,
there will be several other farmers
presenting their story on various
grazing topics.
On Wednesday evening many
informal discussions with many of
the day’s presenters will provide an
opportunity to discuss your current
concerns for your farm or the graz
ing industry.
As part of the conference there
will be a trade show where company
representatives will be on hand to
