D4-Uncaster Farming, Saturday, February 12, 2000 Winners At Holstein Junior Convention Announced The Pennsylvania Junior Holstein Convention was held last weekend, February 4 -6, at the Clarion Hotel in Carlisle. During the convention, many junior Holstein members participated in various contests and were honored with awards. Here are the winners. Winners in the milk, fat, and protein production are seated from left Sarah Day, Pam Werley, Doreen Delp, Jason Troutman, Clayton Woods, and Colin Cooney. George Cashell won this year’s “Pal” award, pre sented by Junior Holstein President David Day. Carrie Wack and David Wilson were this year’s Total Performance Award winners. Amy Kulick won the inter mediate division of the speech contest, while Abby Trotter won the junior divi sion. The 150,000 pound lifetime production awards are presented to (from left) Lynette Heffner, Doreen Delp, Thomas Harwood, Erica Davis, Andrew Reed, and David Day. The Pennsylvania Youth Scholarship Organ ization awarded three Holstein juniors with $l,OOO scholarships for post-secondary edu cation programs. This year’s winners are Erica Davis, David Day, and Joshua Ford. The 1999 Honorable Mention Junior All-Pennsylvania winners are seated from left Emme Mellot, Daphne Doll, Miranda Moore, Trisha Knight, Christine Knight, and Candace Knight.
