It’s an envious accom plishment to win Best of the Show, but for two family members to win it in the same year is almost unheard of. Laura Miller and her mother Grace, at left, both won the award. Laura, who Is modeling a gown for the fashion show, won the award In the youth division for another dress she had made. Her mother won the award in the adult division. After eight years of entering the state hay contest at the Farm Show, the Christ family from Johnstown took best of show. Walter Christ said drought conditions resulted in less than one-third of the hay they usually cut. In addition, Christ Farms, Cambria County, took eight ribbons for oats, dried com, barley, and shelled com.
