Eighty members and 14 guests attended the event with an apple theme. Entertaiment included Berks County Dairy Princess Michelle McMichacl, Li’l Miss Ashley Mohn, and the Faithful Men. President Betsy Sattazahn pre sented checks from monies mem bers had raised to Berks Heim, Berks Executive Committee Berks County Society of Farm Women Executive Committee held a board meeting at the Ag Center, Lees port, on Nov. 1. Fifteen members responded to the roll call question: What is your favorite autumn activity? The committee reviewed the county convention and agreed it was a huge success. Sattazahn also reported on the society’s activities during the past year. Lois Hughes, president of the Pennsylvania Society of Farm Women, presented pins to mem bers who were 80 to 90 years old. Group 1 held a memorial service for members who had passed away during the past year. Hughes was presented a dairy throw cover by the Berks Farm Women members. at the annex on Nov. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Members need to donate prizes and angel food cake. Santa's Comer at the Heim needs volun teers on Dec. 8 to help residents with Christmas shopping. Cook ies, unwrapped gifts and monetary donations are also needed. The state convention will be held Jan. 10, at Harrisburg. State farm Women will also have a booth at the Farm Show to encour age new memberships.
