A flight market Improvement came at midweek, followed by sharp advances on Tfaunday. The noticeably higher prioee are a welcome tight for local feeders, but the Northeastern market continues to trail the teat of the country. MMwemecn fat cattle gained 2.00 this week, with dosing prioee at mostly 69.00 and 107.00-109.00 for Select and Choice grades. Also; Choice stear futures for the current month are trad ing over 70.00, but only a few of our (all black) high Choice and Prime steers were able to jxeak that barrier this week. Local Holstein ateera doted 1.50-2.00 higher. The alaughtrr cow market ended ateady to 1.00 higher, with the improvement placed on the leaner cowt (over 8S percent lean). Slaughter bulls told steady to 1.00 lower. Supply included SI percent slaughter steern, 4 percent slaughter heifers, 36 per cent daughter cows, S percent slaughter bulb, with the balance made up of feeder cattle.
