Correspondent WHTTNEYVILLE (Tioga Co.) “It’s really fun to have all the breeds walking around here,” said judge Mike Wolfe before naming the supreme champion of the Tio ga County Open Dairy Show. As Wolfe spoke briefly about the champion Ayrshire, Brown Swiss, Guernsey, Holstein, Jersey, Lineback, and Milking Shorthorn, he finally settled on the winner. “Without further ado. I’d like to have the Jersey walkout here to the center of the ring. She'll be my supreme champion today. They don’t come much better than this,” Wolfe said. With those words, Homeridge BBS Viv, owned by Brenda Rob son Hodder, took her place in the center of the ring and accepted her $5OO prize sponsored by Dietrichs Milk Products, First Citizens National Bank, Pine City Veterin ary Clinic, Dugan Tractor, and Philip and Annie Clark. The show, which spanned two days, listed more than 300 animals. Standing in the reserve position to the junior 3-ycar-old supreme champion was the second place junior 3-ycar-old, Ty-Ly-View Gold Dust Saturday, owned by Paul and Carolyn Moyer. The junior champion Jersey was Brenda Hodder's spring yearling Four Springs Counciller Missy M. She was followed by the second place spring yearling, Eastmont Trader Daisy, owned by Tricia Mcllwain, who was named the reserve junior champion. Named both the premier breeder and the premier exhibitor in the Jersey Show was Normandell Farms. In the Holstein show, junior 3-year-old Esßem Jed Allic Man ni, owned by Esßem Farm, was named the grand champion. The reserve grand champion Holstein was 5-year-old Flip, owned by Gordon Wood. Both the junior and reserve junior champion Holsteins were shown by Esßem Farm. Winter calf Esßem Robbie Way Winnie was named the junior champion, while Esßem Astrc Dosy Daisy was named the reserve junior champion. Esßem Farm was named the premier breeder of the Holstein show and Gor-Wood Holsteins earned the premier exhi bitor award in the Holstein show. The grand champion Ayrshire was junior 3-year-old AK Dallis Dandy Daphine, owned by Derek Long. The reserve grand champion was Ter-Lin Sailor Renee, owned by Stcfanie Long. Christie Wilcox and Jordy Mcllwain accept the champion Guernsey awards from Dairy Princess Stetanie Long. Blue-Devils Papillion Tina, a summer yearling, was named the junior champion. Ter Lin Jake Gal lic, also owned by Stefanie Long, was named the reserve junior champion. Rocky Slope RL Mag Justine, owned by Ron and Lisa Neal, was selected grand champion Brown Swiss. She was followed by senior 2-year-old Rocky Slope Faith, owned by Lisa Driscoll. Among the junior animals, Jacob Tomlin son's Kickamoo Prince Ticket, a fall calf, was named the junior champion, and Gretna Acres Typh Lilly, a spring calf owned by Kris ten Savoie, was reserve junior champion. Jordy Mcflwain showed the grand and reserve grand champion Guernseys. Named the champion was summer yearling Lcroydales Franks Babe. In the reserve spot was spring calf Maple Lane Lorry / Janis. In the Milking Shorthorn show, Bradley Wales showed three of the four champions. The grand champion of the show was senior 3-year-old Blue-Devils Amy Soo, and the reserve grand champion was 6-year-old Kusmar Nancy Soo. The junior champion was Blue-Devils Becky Soo, a winter yearling. Michael Pierce showed the reserve junior champion Milk ing Shorthorn, Sunny Boy Honey Hilda P. The champion Lineback was 4-year-old Buggs Bunney, while the reserve grand champion and junior champion Lineback was Elmo, both owned by Morgan Blend.
