Demand good for feeder cattle. Steer and heifer calves steady. Demand very good for calves. Though the weather is hot and dry there is ample supplies of hay for holding calves till fall grass and wheat Feedlot cost of gains remain cheap fueling the two way demand for calves. Weigh-ups average and much improved for buyers from past two weeks. Quality average to many plain, end attractive. Feeder cattle in medium to thin flesh. Slaughter cows and bulls 2.00-3.00 lower. Packer demand moderate. The first round buys for the school lunch program is over and cow market adjusted accordingly. Total of 433 cows and bulls sold with 65 percent to packers.
