Feeder heifers steady. Steer and heifer calves steady. Demand good for all classes. Quality plain to average, end attractive. Quality of supply continues the usual sum mertime pattern with a predominance of Brahma cross and plainer type cattle. Feed er cattle in medium to thin flesh. Wdgh ups average to full. Slaughter cows 1.00-1.50 lower. Slaughter bulls steady. Demand continues very good for slaughter classes and bred cows. Packers still in need of cows as school lunch programs are underway.. Total of 550 cows and bulls sold with 65 percent to packers. Receipts this week 7,800; last week 7,488; last year 8,736. Supply consisted of 73 percent year lings and few calves over 600 lbs; 20 per cent calves under 600 lbs; 7 percent cows and bulls. Heifers comprised 37 percent of the feeder and calf supply.
