National Egg Market ATLANTA, GA JULY 21, 1999 NATIONAL EGO MARKET - AT A GLANCE In Chicago, prices were sharply higher on the larger sizes, and in the Eastern reg ion, prices were unchanged to higher on the medium and larger sizes. Elsewhere, prices were unchanged. The market tone tanged steady to firm, with the larger sizes continuing in the strongest position. Demand was fair to good, mostly mod erate, with best interest usually noted where scattered feature activity was a fac tor. Supplies of the larger eggs were mostly tight to occasionaly adequate, and the remainder of sizes were generally adequ ate. Breaking stock supplies were adequate from regular sources, however, some breakers continued to utilize lighter weight product where heavier nest tuns remained unavailable, light type hens were adequate to ample for current slaughter needs.
