PMMB Testimony Rules HARRISBURG (Dauphin Co,) As seme have discovered in the past, there are rules that must be followed if testimony is to be presented during a scheduled publ ic healing of the Pennsylvania Milk Marketing Board. The PMMB has issued notice of intent to hold a public hearing April 6, and April 7 if necessary, in Room B of the state Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, to consid er changes to the Class I over-order premium paid to dairy farmers. The PMMB requites that those who intend to present testimony at the April 6-7 hearing follow a spe cific set of rules. According to the PMMB: The parties (intending to pro vide testimony) shall observe the following requirements for advance filing of witness informa tion an exhibits. The board may exclude witnesses or exhibits of a party that fails to comply with these requirements. In addition, the parties shall have available in the hearing room at least 20 copies of each document for the use of nonparties attending the hearing. • By 4 p.nu. A list of witnesses who will testify for the party, along with a statement of the subjects concern ing which each witness will testify. A witness who will be offered as an expert shall be so identified, along with the witness’s area or areas of proposed expertise. b. Parties that wish to offer in evi dence documents on file with the PMMB, public documents, or records in other proceedings before the PMMB, or who wish the board to take official notice of facts, shall comply with, respec tively, 1 Pa. Code, Section 35.164; 35.165; 35.167, or 35.173. Whenver these rules require production of a document as an exhibit, copies shall be provided to each board member and to all other parties. According to national dairy cooperatives and some others in favor of Compact expansion, the PM MB overorder premium only reaches about 20 percent of the state’s dairy producers.
