Recently the Pennsylvania Soybean Promotion Board announced the results of the 1998 Pennsylvania Soybean Yield Contest Picking up first place in the statewide contest was James E. Hcrshcy, Lancaster County, with a yield of 80.21 bushels per acre using Pioneer 9421. Second place went to Jon E. Stutzman, Berks County, with a yield of 77.43 bushels per acre using Gutwein 7410. Third place went to Jack Coleman, Lancaster County with a yield of 76.10 bushels per acre using Pioneer 93881.
