its treasurer.
Also involved with the
Fruit committees, his projects include rais
ing beef, finishing and breeding sheep, and
maple production.
He was on the national land judging
team, and earned chapter proficiency
awards for beef, and agricultural mechan
ics. He won a silver award in the state land
judging contest, a gold state recordbook
contest, and a regional star fanner award in
specialized agriculture.
He has greenhand, chapter, area and
now state degrees. In the future he said he
would like to go west as part of a harvest
ing team. He said he likes the challenges of
FFA, being involved, the contests, and the
variety of interests all possible through
FFA.

well as awards for community develop
ment, beef production, and poultry produc
tion. He has his greenhand and chapter
degrees. Stiffey said he intends to pursue a
career as a paramedic specializing in farm
rescue.
He said he most enjoys his SAE project
serving as a member of a volunteer fire
company. “This helps me to put agricul
ture together with my future plans.”

won a gold state award in public speaking
as well as a gold state award for SAE CDE.
She has earned greenhand, chapter and
SUN Area degrees. In addition, she has
been involved in forestry and land judging,
and her high school field hockey team and
french club. She said she plans to pursue a
degree in botany at Penn State University.

work experience. Swanson has won a Star
Red Rose award, as well as national
awards for poultry evaluation and tractor
restoration. He has greenahdn and chapter
farmer degrees. He said that be would like
to grow and market his own produce and
berries.

Jennifer Sweinhart, 17, daughter of Curt

has been a member of Northern Bedford
FFA for six years, currently serving as its
treasurer.
