Page 30—Keystone Farm Show Section 1, Lancaster Farming, Saturday, January 2, 1999 ELLICOTT CITY, Md, - Next year the Ayrshire Association and the Brown Swiss Association will break new ground in Maryland as they jointly host a 1999 national con vention for both breeds "Maryland - Where Breeds Combine" is the theme of the first ever combined breeds convention, to be held at Turf Valley County Club in Ellicott City. The combined con vention will put Maryland breeders in the spotlight. "They'll be looking for us to be a role model," said Becky Long Chaney, who along with Martha Clark is co chair of the 1999 joint National Ayrshire and Brown Swiss conven tion. Separate histories of the Ayrshire and Brown Swiss breeds in Maryland are being compiled for the 1999 convention.
