Grand-L Ten Series Kubota trac tors are equipped with an innov ative, clean and quiet diesel engine which delivers dramatic power and torque. Designed for the long haul and precision engineered, Kubota diesel technology has gained a favorable reputation with owners and operators worldwide. Noteworthy is the fact that Kubota E-TVCS engines were the first to obtain GARB (California Air Resources Board) certification for utility engines under 25 horsepower. This was accomplished by successfully meeting the state’s diesel emis sions regulations, considered to be the nation’s most stringent. Grand-L Ten Series models are equipped with 3- or 4-cylin der engines, ranging in gross horsepower from 32.1 to 45.3. Net horsepower ratings range gets the representation that Ag Depot provides an Ag Depot gets the excellent flotation product line that we have developed over many years in the business.” Randy Faulkner, executive vice president of Ag Depot, said, “Lor*Al is a well respected product line in our trade area and we think that these prod ucts will complement our cur rent product offerings very well. HST equipped Grand-L’s are PTO rated at 24.0 HP through 36.0. L3OlO engines offer 91.5 cubic inch displacement; L 3410 - 100.5 cubic inches; L 3710 - 113.3 cubic inches; L 4310 -134.1 cubic inches. At the heart of the E-TVCS engine is its E-TVCS combus tion system that allows for quick and even fuel mixing for fast combustion. The fuel mixture burns evenly through the vari ous stages of combustion, result ing in cleaner emissions and a higher torque rise. The engine’s long stroke and unique governor mechanism can handle sudden load changes quickly, sustaining optimum performance. RACINE, Wia. Case Corporation has introduced the new Case IH SPX 4260 Patriot™ sprayer, the first new product in the Case IH crop care equipment line. With 260 horsepower and a tank capacity of up to 1,200 gal lons, the SPX 4260 is the newest approach for improving opera tional efficiency .and increasing productivity and serviceability in high clearance sprayers. “Combining the Aim™ Command Spray System with the SPX 4260 offers a quantum leap in spray technology, addressing chemical effective ness, drift risk management, and operational efficiency,” said John Garrison, general manag er, agricultural systems. “These new Case IH sprayers are an important response to the needs of custom applicators and large, independent producers.” The new AIM Command Spray System allows for droplet sized control for consistent chemical application, and it pro vides a tool for drift risk man agement. Its unique design allows pressure to be controlled independent of flow, and flow to be controlled independent of pressure. Even though it uses standard spray tips, it frees the operator from the constraints “along a traditional tip curve,” providing ultimate control over the size 6f the droplets. “AIM will change how the injection nozzle and dumping valve. These offer precision fuel management and stability dur ing combustion. The results are lower noise, less engine vibra tion, and cleaner emissions. A highly rigid tunnel type cylinder block is used. Cross flow cylinder heads keep the intake air temperature cooler, which enhances fuel combustion and overall engine performance. Other cooling technologies Case Introduces Sprayer The Case IH 4260 sprayer represents the first new prod uct in the Case IH crop care equipment line. The new sprayer combines the Aim Command Spray System with a 26-horsepower engine and 1,200-gallon tank. industry sprays,” said Steve Willey, product manager, self propelled sprayers. “Even though significant advance ments have been made in the last 30-40 years, no other sys tem has advanced spray technol ogy to the extent that the AIM Command has.” This new sprayer is powered by a Case CDC (Consolidated Diesel Company, a Case- Cummins joint venture) 8.3 L engine with 825 foot pounds of torque to enhance productivity. Road speeds of up to 30 mph and 1,000/1,200-gallon spray tank capacity, further enhance effi ciency. The new tucked-inside sus pension ensures better crop clearance, while the wheel motor and hub assembly place ment inside the wheel results in less crop damage'. The modular include a fan located behind the radiator which pulls cool air across the radiator fins and then blows down and through the sides of the engine, boosting the radial flow of cool air under the hood. A quick start super-glow plug pre-heat system is standard and guarantees easy starts in cold or hot weather. It’s automatic, just turn on the key, let the indicator light go out, and start the engine. self-centering 60 foot/90 foot “floater-style” boom with its foldover top and double break away, make for both more accu rate applications and a longer boom life. The Case IH SPX 4260 also offers a variety of options, including active suspension for hill climbing, all-wheel steer for maneuvering, a traction pack age and the typical optional package of fenders, chemical inductors, and crop shields. In addition, site-specific options include the AIM Navigation sys tem and the AIM Command Spray System. Operator efficiency is enhanced on the Case IH SPX 4260 through improved service ability and creature comforts The service center features sim plified instructions, an orga nized valve location, and three inch remote fill lines. Easy access to daily maintenance items from the cab walkway (all located along one side), simpli fied hydraulic hose routing, more hard plumbing, o-ring face seals and fittings, and the pump drive-out location in the back of the engine, all contribute to enhanced serviceability and reli ability. The new single lever hydrostatic drive control fea tures automatic “on-the-go” range shifting plus dial selection of maximum travel- speed, improving ease of operation. Additionally, the rear-mounted engine makes for a quieter ride, and lessens operator fatigue.
